We hope you found some useful information in our previous posts ‘Start planning for outdoor entertaining at home‘ and ‘Some essentials you need for the best outdoor entertaining ever.‘ While this post is not exhaustive or a final say in how to pull off successful outdoor entertaining at home, it can be every bit as useful and inspiring.
People need somewhere to sit. Of course, a good host/hostess has folding chairs and other types of instant seating, but you can always use something beautiful to the eye and functional to build out a great outdoor event space. Here are a few suggestions.
Colorful adirondack chairs to position in a circle around a fire pit. You can purchase cushions to match and for comfort as well as throws for chilly nights.
Oversized ottomans in fade-proof and weatherproof fabrics that are vibrant and functional for seating and as use as a table. Purchase multiples to expand seating for conversation.
Try to find seating with storage to store throws, tablecloths and more. If you will be entertaining children, find those bean bags made of vibrant fabrics that weatherproof and fun. Lastly, add poufs for pops of more color and interest.
Remember, these are to supplement tables with umbrellas, sectionals and sofas, and chaises (you need at least one chaise). The point is to provide seating and lounging options for guests.
Depending on the size of your event, your event planner can lease beautiful, high-end seating for you.
